DISI 2016: Internet of Things may pose risks to information security
The International Computer Security Day will be held on November 11, 2016 at the Federal Institute of Brasilia (IFB) in the city of Brasilia-DF. Each edition of the event are addressed issues related to a specific topic of great interest to all end-user computers, in order to promote good practices related to information security. The lectures are free, open to the public and transmitted in real time in English, Spanish and Portuguese.


Under the title "Optimising the Impact of NRENs on Africa's Research", and from 30 October 2016 to 4 November 2016, the city of Kampala (Uganda) will recieve the members of the UbuntuNet Alliance for its annual conference, which will be hosted by the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU). As in the previous conference, held in 2015 in Maputo (Mozambique), MAGIC will be part of the plenary sessions programme.
