The network scientist and former director of the National Network of Teaching and Research of Brazil (RNP), Michael Stanton, received the 2018 Trajectory Awards from the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) for his contribution to the development of the internet in the region. The prize was presented at a ceremony held in Rosario, Argentina, on September 27, during the organization's annual event, which brings together the network operators community of Latin America and the Caribbean.

In order to promote a regional debate on the obstacles and problems related to the implementation of mobile health and to identify the right path for health services in Latin America, the CYTED-RITMOS Network, in collaboration with the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán and RedCLARA, will hold, next Wednesday, September 26, a Virtual Seminar on Mobile Health.

After discussing the model of the Inverted Classrooms, the Virtual Cycle of Conferences of the Catholic University of El Salvador (UNICAES) will once again bring together students and experts from the country and Latin America, now to discuss the theme "Management Competencies and Skills". The meeting, which will be broadcast live through the UNICAES virtual room in RedCLARA's VC Espresso videoconferencing tool, will be held this Thursday, September 27 at 8:30 AM (AST).

The PPT and PDF files with the presentations of international speakers and the most innovative papers on "Digital Transformation of Institutions of Higher Education, Art and Culture", shared in the plenary and parallel sessions of the TICAL2018 Conference and the 2nd Latin American e-Science Meeting , held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, between September 3 and 5, are now available for consultation and download at the event's website.

The Latin America Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA) and Internet Society (ISOC) signed this Tuesday, September 4, in the framework of the TICAL2018 Conference and the 2nd Latin America Meeting of e-Science, in Cartagena de Indias, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that seeks to enhance collaboration between the two parties. The organizations were represented by Luis Eliécer Cadenas Marín, Executive Director of RedCLARA, and Christian O'Flaherty, Senior Development Manager of ISOC for Latin America and the Caribbean.
