Opened from April 23, 2019, the second Infrastructure and Telecommunications Services Tender Process for the development of the RedCLARA backbone in the tracts that connects the national research and education networks of Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Between May 6 and 7, the members of the brazilian research community will come together in the Event Center of the Hotel Master Premium, in Gramado/RS, for the 20th edition of Workshop RNP (WRNP). The initiative is carried out by the brazilian National Research and Education Network (RNP) and aims to present to the public the technological advancements for the evolution of the Brazilian academic network and the main topics for the innovation of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) inside and outside Brazil. The event will be held together with the 37th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC).

On the way to the TICAL2019 Conference, to be held on September 2, 3 and 4, in Cancún, Mexico, Internet Society, with the support of the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES), through its ANUIES-ICT Committee, in coordination with its allies and members NIC Mexico, CUDI, LACNIC, LACNOG, Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán and Universidad de Guadalajara, as well as RedCLARA, invite you to participate in the workshop “Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security on the Internet – MANRS”.

The Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean (FRIDA) is opening its 2019 call for proposals to fund projects, with an emphasis on community networks and women-led initiatives that promote gender equality in technology.

All those interested in participating in these events can already register through the online registration and ensure their place in both activities, which will take place from September 2 to 4 at the Cancun ICC, in the city of Cancun, Mexico.

The call for participation in this special issue of the Journal of Cyber Policy, referred to the impact of consolidation in the Internet’s fundamental architecture (including structural dependencies across its many layer), will be opened until 1st April, 2019.
