A pilot project for the digital issuance of verifiable credentials applied to digital diplomas created jointly by experts from the advanced networks CUDI (Mexico), RENATA (Colombia), REUNA (Chile) and CEDIA (Ecuador), with the support of RedCLARA, was one of the initiatives presented at the first Symposium of the Ibero-American Network of Blockchain and Cybersecurity - RIBCI, which was held on October 5 and 6, in hybrid format, with the face-to-face activities developed in the premises of the Technological University of Panama.

The European Commission is calling for expressions of interest for the selection of members of the "Global Gateway Civil Society (CSOs) and Local Authorities (LA) Dialogue Platform", sectors that play a key role in ensuring an inclusive and value-based approach to the implementation of this strategy. The Platform will be set up as a working group of the European Union (EU) Policy Forum on Development.

The challenges of disruptive innovation in education was the theme of the IV Edutic International Seminar, which took place in Lima, Peru, on 26 and 27 September, with the participation of RedCLARA's Director of International Cooperation, Academic Relations, and Communications, Mark Urban,  who gave a presentation on the progress of the BELLA II project and the possibilities of creating a new National Research and Education Network (NREN) in the country.

From November 13 to 17, in Panama City, RedCLARA and the BELLA II Project will hold three events that will bring together decision-makers, strategic allies, researchers, professors, and academics for a week of discussion and exchange of strategic experiences for the strengthening of science, technology and innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The goal of the activities is to identify the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation and to seek the key elements for building a common agenda for economic and social development based on digital.
