On the LACNIC blog, the Chief Technology Strategist (CTS) of the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Address Registry addresses a key milestone in the evolution of the Internet: the progress of IPv6 as evidenced by global players such as Google and its implications for Latin America and the Caribbean.

From 15 to 17 April 2026, the SUBMERSE project held its final event at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, bringing together consortium partners, scientific communities, infrastructure operators and industry representatives to share results and discuss the future of underwater fibre-optic sensing.

In March 2026, the European SPIDER project released the document “Pathways for the Exploitation of the BELLA Infrastructure”, a Position Paper presenting recommendations and priority areas to promote the strategic use of the digital connectivity linking Europe with Latin America and the Caribbean, now enhanced by the BELLAII project. 

The official publication of the 3rd Ibero-American Symposium on Blockchain and Cybersecurity is now available for download online. The event took place on 20 and 21 November 2025 in Santiago, Chile, at the headquarters of ECLAC and the Institute of International Studies at the University of Chile.
