RedCONARE's Director in interdisciplinary research Symposium

Costa RicaDr. Alvaro de la Ossa will assist to the 1st Central American Symposium of the CADAN: R Network entitle "Management of the Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Research," to be held in San Jose on November Thursday 26 and Friday 27, where will developed a conference about RedCLARA and ALICE2 project.

As part of the annual meeting of the Central American Network for DAAD former fellows for Research (CADAN: R), on November 26 and 27 San Jose, Costa Rica will host the Central American Symposium ""Management of the Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Research. "

The network, of which is a founding member and co-coordinator the General Director of the CONARE Network, Alvaro de la Ossa, was formed with financial support from the German Service for Academic Exchange (DAAD) and reunites all countries from Guatemala to Panama, except for Belize, with the aim of promoting scientific research in interdisciplinary and collaborative way in the region.

"We have established contact between Dr. Carlos Rudamas, physicist at the University of El Salvador and Coordinator of the CADAN: R Salvadoran Chapter, with Rafael Ibarra, Director of the Advanced Research, Science and Education Network from El Salvador (RAICES) with the purpose that the research group that Carlos lead have the possibility of using network resources to process the data they collect in the area of San Salvador on air pollution using optical spectroscopy techniques with laser technology, "says Alvaro de la Ossa.

During the activity, to be attended by over 35 researchers, de la Ossa will give a talk about RedCLARA and ALICE2 project, in order to encourage representatives of Guatemala, El Salvador and Panama to contact their national networks and to appeal to members of Honduras and Nicaragua to get more information and eventually seek to join the network.
