CUDI Virtual Day "Influenza A H1N1" video is now available

AH1N1 ConferenceThe published material includes the five presentations that were developed during the activity and can be seen on the website of the academic network in Mexico. Among the topics discussed in the event is the epidemiology of the disease in Mexico and the world, some experiences in the management of the disease and the role of information technology to an epidemiological emergency.

"This type of project demonstrates the increasing importance of information technology for the health system. I think it is an event of great significance to what is happening in Mexico and other neighboring countries of Latin America. Raising the level of knowledge about the steps and the characteristics of epidemic will help us all to face it better. "

With these words, Carlos Casasus Lopez, General Director of the University Corporation for Development of Internet (CUDI), Mexico, welcomed the Virtual Day "Influenza A H1N1, that was held on October 28 with the remote participation of 18 academic and scientific institutions of the country.

The agenda of the event included a lecture on the epidemiology of the disease in Mexico and the world, developed by Dr. Alejandro Avalos, Coordinator of CUDI Health community. After that, were presented some experiences in handling the disease, developed at the Mexican Institute of Social Secure, the Austral University of Chile and the state of Chiapas.

Finally, the role of information technology to an emergency epidemiological was cover by the Engineer Monsencahua Erasmo Flores from the Gea Gonzalez Hospital in Mexico.
