On December 21, the new edition of the Carolina Foundation Scholarships was open, in this case for the period that runs from 2011 to 2012.

In this eleventh edition of the Carolina Foundation grants for Latin-American and Spanish students, a total of 1,420 scholarships are offered:

• 910 post-graduate: applications till March 6, 2011
• 248 doctoral and post-doctoral short stays: applications till April 17, 2011
• 232 continuing education and Brazilian teachers’ mobility: applications till June 26, 2011
• 30 Institutional nominations until April 17, 2011
