June 26, 19:00 GMT: "AI: Development in Health in the LAC Context" RUTE-AL Webinar

After a successful session on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, the 2024 Webinar Series of the University Telemedicine Network for Latin America and the Caribbean (RUTE-AL) will now discuss the challenges of AI development in healthcare.

The webinar "AI: Development in Health in the LAC Context" will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 19h GMT (13h from Mexico, 14h from Colombia/ Ecuador, 15h from Chile and 16h from Brazil) exploring how AI can change healthcare, improving diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases, as well as optimizing resources and the efficiency of the healthcare system.

The session will feature experts such as Dr. Marco Antonio Gutiérrez, from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Dr. Samuel Gallegos, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), with moderation by Dr. Dania Nimbe Lima Sánchez, also from UNAM.

RUTE-AL's 2024 webinar series seeks to go beyond traditional webinars and encourage the creation of a permanent collaborative network on health and telemedicine issues in the region. The sessions began in April and will run through November, with the support of RedCLARA and its member National Research and Education Networks (NRENs).
