Workshop "Application and processing of Copernicus data".

RedCLARA (Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks), RAU (Uruguayan Academic Network) and AUCI (Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation) organize the workshop: Application and processing of Copernicus data on Thursday, October 19, 2023, starting at 12h GMT, which aims to provide knowledge and tools to develop capabilities in use, application and processing of geospatial data in Uruguay. Copernicus is the Earth Observation Program of the European Union, which looks at our planet and its environment for the maximum benefit of all citizens. It provides information services based on satellite Earth observation data and in situ data.

Huge amounts of global data from satellites and ground, airborne and maritime measurement systems are used to provide information that helps service providers, public administrations and other international organizations to improve the quality of life of European citizens. The information services provided are freely and openly accessible to its users.

The Copernicus Regional Academy is a network that enables collaboration between the different actors of the digital ecosystem (universities, research centers, private organizations, government) in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe to develop capacities and research to train researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs with the right skills to take advantage of the full potential of Copernicus data and information services.
