October 20, 15:00 GMT: "Challenges in Data Protection in Digital Health" RUTE-AL Webinar

With the aim of discussing the current status and the challenges related to data protection in digital health in the region, the University Network of Telemedicine in Latin America (RUTE-AL) will hold a webinar on Friday, October 20, at 15h GMT (12h from Brazil and Chile).

The discussions will be moderated by Paola Arellano, executive director of the Chilean national network, REUNA, who will be accompanied by three experts who will share their experiences and knowledge on the subject. From Colombia, Nelson Remolina, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de los Andes, will give a presentation on "Radiography of Data Protection in Ibero-America". From Brazil, Luiz Gustavo Kiatake, Director of Institutional Relations of the Brazilian Society of Health Informatics, will present "Aspects of information security for the protection of health data" and from Chile Lorena Donoso, from the Universidad de Chile and legal advisor of REUNA will present "International regulation of clinical records from the perspective of interoperability and data protection". The presentations will be followed by a round of questions and comments from the participants,
