Conversatorio: Opportunities for Collaboration in Climate Change among researchers from the Americas, analysis of experiences and benefits

Following the resolutions adopted during the Summit of the Americas of Research and Education Networks (January 2019) and the UN proposals until 2030, RedCLARA invites those interested to participate in this dialogue space on the need for collaboration and the benefit of it to the consolidation of knowledge about Climate Change on the Planet and in particular in our continent, as well as its causes and perspectives.

Driven to researchers from Latin America, Canada and the United States, the activity will be held on August 8, 2019, at 8:00 PM GMT (see local time at the end of this text) through the Zoom videoconferencing system and requires registration, which should be done at https://eventos.redclara.net/indico/event/958/ (the link to the VC room will be sent after completing the form).

Program:

  1. Welcome (20 hrs GMT): Luis Eliécer Cadenas, Executive Director of RedCLARA.
  2. Introduction (20 minutes): Bruce Howe, Research Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
  3. Researchers' questions (15 minutes).
  4. Intervention of the participating researchers: Each participating researcher will have five minutes to explain the research topic in which is working and to present his partners and the required supports.
  5. Experiences in scientific collaboration.
  6. Round of questions.
