On July 8 and 9, 2013, Cartagena of Indias (Colombia) will host the Third Conference of Information and Communication Technologies Directors from higher education institutions. People involved in ICT management in Latin American universities are invited to submit proposals related to this topic. The deadline to submit the material is April 15th, 2013.

On January 23, 2013, Ivette Jiménez from Colombia, Paulina López from Chile, Patricia Santiago Jacinto from México and Olga Ferrer Roca from Spain will virtually gather to discuss different aspects related with the complex laboratories.
On December 20 RedCLARA activated the ground link of 1 Gbit/s Ethernet installed between San Salvador (El Salvador) and San Jose (Costa Rica), increasing the backbone capacity in the section that runs between San Jose - Managua - San Salvador to 1 Giga and leaving a node in Nicaragua to which the country will be able to connect as soon as it decides to become a RedCLARA member.
