LACHEC 2014 will discuss the challenges of academic integration

The event reaches its sixth edition looking up to create a backdrop for the discussion of the topic.

The challenges of academic integration will be the theme of the sixth Conference of Latin America and the Caribbean for the internationalization of higher education, LACHEC 2014, to be held in the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia, between November 26th and 28th of 2014.

With the theme "Academic Integration: Challenges for a common space for higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean", the conference will address as main issues the initiatives of academic integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, the relevance and articulation of higher education as a basis for integration, and finally, the generation of intercultural capabilities for academic integration. For both, will count on the participation of specialized speakers in these lines of action to strengthen the processes of internationalization of higher education.

The Latin American and Caribbean Conference for the Internationalization of Higher Education are the result of a joint work of the Colombian Network for Internationalization of Higher Education (RCI), the Ministry of National Education (MEN), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Colombian Institute of Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX) and the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN).
