When just a few days remain to start the fifth edition of TICAL, the bulletin shows important information about the annual meeting of the ICT directors of Latinamerican universities, which will be held from July 6 to 8 of of 2015, in Viña del Mar, Chile. It also highlights the MAGIC project launch and the Colaboratorio implemented by RENATA.

In a few days, hundreds of ICT directors of the Latin American universities will meet in Viña del Mar, Chile, to share knowledge and hear about the experiences of the international guest speakers. Andrés Holguín Coral, from Colombia, is one of them. In this interview, the last with the speakers of the fifth edition of the event, he says what motivated him to participate in TICAL2015 and highlights the peculiarities of the Conference.

cosechaLA Referencia decided, in 2011, to adopt Driver 2.0 guidelines. The implementation mechanisms were agreed in mid-2012 for 10 fields. Nearly three years after that decision, this document presents and updates the fields in a more detailed format; indicates recommendations for all the fields present in Driver; includes clarifications and changes derived from OpenAIRE (which currently maintains the guidelines) and defines the main areas to work in future releases.

H2020The event, which will include three meetings, on June 17, 22 and 24, from 14:00 to 17:00GMT, will be held by videoconference (VC) in Argentina through InnovaRed, Mexico (CUDI), Uruguay (RAU2) and the regional and European RedCLARA connection with live webcast. All the institutions who are partners of the national networks connected to RedCLARA are invited to register its VC rooms until June 16, 2015, on the event website.
