The e-science as a proposal to solve regional problems. Under the slogan "doing more with less", it is announce the "Cycle of Regional Sessions for a new science" to be held from October 27th to November 3rd, which seeks to encourage a reflection on the possible scenarios to consolidate a collaborative service of advanced computing in Latin America.
Eduroam academic mobility is the subject of the second technical course developed remotely from Peru and that involves members of all national networks connected to RedCLARA. Network monitoring and VoIP will be the topics covered in the following courses.
Between the 7th and 11th of November, Montevideo (Uruguay) will host the second annual meeting of the members and partners in the Latin America Interconnected with Europe 2 project, ALICE2. The agenda will include technical, executive and communications meetings.
This initiative seeks to expose and disseminate successful experiences in the use of Advanced Internet in projects and applications developed by the national networks connected to RedCLARA that promote development, science and innovation in Latin America. The winner proposal and those that qualify as finalists will be distributed among ALICE2 and RedCLARA communities and will be highlighted in the RedCLARA press media. The deadline for submitting proposals is December 16th, 2011.
