RedCLARA and its member NRENs launch the Regional Training Platform

RedCLARA will launch the Regional Training Platform on Thursday, March 16, an initiative developed in conjunction with its member networks RNP (Brazil), CUDI (Mexico), CEDIA (Ecuador), RAU (Uruguay), and RENATA (Colombia) that aims to provide international training programs to all the members of the National Research and Education Networks (NREN) in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The public presentation of the new platform will be held in a webinar at 15h GMT attended by Marina Vicario, head of the Mexican Thematic Network for the Development and Incorporation of Educational Technology (Red LaTE), and other experts from the NREN promoting the initiative. The session moderator will be the RedCLARA Coordinator of Academic Projects, Laura Castellana.

The new RedCLARA platform will provide valuable international certifications to strengthen participants’ capacities through lessons with international experts, validated by the NRENs and with blockchain certification. The training platform will also offer permanent access and provide data analytics through infrastructure sponsored by the NRENs.

"Building this Regional Training Platform, we aim to strengthen the skills of teachers, researchers and trainers in different knowledge areas, promoting synergies and reinforcing collaborative work", explains Laura Castellana.

Educational Digital Transformation certification

The first training program offered by the new RedCLARA platform would be the Certification in Educational Digital Transformation. The course is scheduled from May 2nd to July 28th, 2023. The registration period will be open from March to April.

The certification will be organized in three phases. The first one will be led by the NREN of Ecuador, CEDIA, and will allow all the participants to select one of two 40-hour modules: "Planning and evaluation of hybrid and online classes", or "Learning to build Moocs".

The second stage – “Educational Digital Transformation” – will also last 40 hours and will oversee by the Mexican network, CUDI. The training module aims to enhance educational managers and academic leaders from postgraduate programs’ capacities for the digital transformation required by hybrid, remote and multimodal models.

The last stage, led by the Colombian network, RENATA, will also offer participants the opportunity to choose between two courses: “Disruption in the classroom”, to develop critical thinking skills and computer logic programming l, or “Learning to learn – towards cognitive autonomy”, which will address the subject of learning and how the brain operates when we learn.I The registration fee is 299.00 USD.
