Be part of TNC2010

TERENAStarting on Monday 31 May, this year's TERENA Networking Conference (TNC2010) has been attended by around 500 people through the online presentation materials, remote access to the Tuesday plenary session provided by the GLOBAL project, and the streams available in the archive of the activity which runs until Thursday 3rd May.

With the theme ‘Living the Network Life’, this year's TERENA Networking Conference (TNC2010) started on Monday 31 May with the presentation given by Hannes Lubich of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, examining the impacts of social networking.

The conference that runs until Thursday, included in the program the remote access to the Tuesday plenary session provided by the GLOBAL project, allowing participation and questions to speakers via the Internet, as well as from attendees at the conference venue. (see http://globalplaza.org/spaces/terena/events/tnc-2010).

Around 500 people had attended the event, which also features online presentation materials for those who cannot be there in person. All streams are available live and will be made available in archive form immediately after the session. Most of the slides and some of the papers can be downloaded by clicking on the relevant session in the programme, at http://tnc2010.terena.org/schedule/.

The closing plenary will be delivered by Ingrid Melve, who leads the eCampus Norway project. In addition to four more plenary talks, each day will include parallel sessions of presentations on a diverse range of topics.

Streaming is undertaken by a technical team with members from the E-Learning Technology Centre of Kaunas University of Technology and Electronic Study and from the Examination Centre of Vilnius University. LITNET, the Lithuanian National Research and Education Network is kindly hosting the event.

For those who find these streams inspiring, please plan to be at TNC 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic, from 16-19 May 2011: http://tnc2011.terena.org.
