"The resurgence of China and India and the Financial Crisis. Implications for Stability and Global Sustainability" is the title of the activity to be conducted by Professor Carl Dalhman and to be held on Wednesday August 26th at 09: 00 hours (GTM -5). The activity is hosted by RENATA (Colombian NREN) and Colciencias.
Holz, who is Director of the Uruguayan Academic Network (Red Académica Uriguaya, RAU) and Secretary of the CLARA Directory, was chosen for her permanent contribution during the past 20 years to the development of ICTs in Latin America and for her commendable work, not only for the concrete results she has achieved but also for the example it sets for the entire community.
The activity, that will be held from 17th to 30th August, in the Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, FLACSO) from Mexico, will consist of seminars and workshops on social sciences and humanities focus on the design and implementation of public science, technology and innovation (STI) policies. Remote participation will be possible through Isabel platform.
"Transforming the digital dividend opportunity into social benefits and economic growth in Europe" is the title of the study that started on July 10th and that until September 4th will receive the response of all citizens and organizations interested in participate.
In order to be represented well in the study the CLARA and ALICE2 community, is invited to fill in the online questionnaire before July 31st. Results of the survey will help define a roadmap of strategies that will guide public policies and enhance the uptake and use of e-infrastructure in science.
