16 y 17 de noviembre: Taller "La transformación digital como habilitador para el mejoramiento de la seguridad alimentaria y la transición energética limpia"

RedCLARA, the Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT) of Spain and the EU-LAC Foundation are pleased to announce the event "Digital Transformation as an Enabler for the Improvement of Food Security and Clean Energy Transition", as part of the VI Annual Call for Co-organising Events on topics relevant to the bi-regional partnership between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The workshop will take place on 16 and 17 November in Panama City, within the TICAL2023: Bridges to Transformation Conference, and will be held in person, although it will be accessible via the RedCLARA's YouTube Channel.

The workshop aims to explore the key role of digital transformation in improving food security and green transition. Different organisations will present their experiences and particular cases in which they have achieved significant progress in food security or energy transition thanks to the application of digital solutions. In addition, the active interaction of the attendees will be encouraged to stimulate the generation of innovative projects and ideas in these fields. The event will count with the collaboration of leading experts in the field, researchers, and decision-makers, who will foster the development of an open, enriching, and constructive space for debate and dialogue for all participants.

Pre-event survey:

As a pre-workshop activity, RedCLARA and the EU-LAC Foundation have arranged a short survey to collect information on experiences and success cases related to this topic. The results will be presented and used as input for the discussions during the workshop.

The questionnaire, available online, consists of 9 questions divided into two areas: the first one, on
characterization; the second one, about the workshop. The estimated response time is 15 minutes. The deadline for completing the survey is 30 November 2023.

This event is part of the EU-LAC Annual Call for Co-organising Events, whose main objective this year was to receive proposals for the co-organisation of events focused on three priority thematic areas in the context of the bi-regional relationship: food security, green transition, and digital transformation.
