The Ecuadorian Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (TICEC 2026) has opened its call for papers, inviting researchers, academics and professionals to share developments in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital health, sustainability, Industry 4.0 and the digital society.

Led by Francisco Cabrera-Torres, a geomatics specialist with the Ecuadorian Air Force and holder of a PhD in Geomatics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the webinar will be streamed live on YouTube.

The event will bring together experts and stakeholders from the regional academic ecosystem to explore how blockchain can contribute to the secure issuance of digital credentials and open up new opportunities for higher education.

On 15 May at 4:00 pm UTC, Copernicus Chile will host the seminar “Use of InSAR in South American cortical faults”, an open event inviting members of RedCLARA and the scientific community of Latin America and the Caribbean to follow the live stream via the Copernicus Chile YouTube channel. The talk will be presented by Pablo León, a PhD candidate in Science, specialising in Geology, at the University of Chile.

The Latin American and Caribbean University Telemedicine Network (RUTE-ALC), part of the RedCLARA ecosystem, will hold a remote session on Wednesday 3 June on health data governance, a key issue for the development of safer, interoperable and people-centred healthcare systems.
