Major repository infrastructure initiatives agree to align their networks.

(Rome, Communiqué) In a meeting in Rome on March 20-21, 2014 representatives from several major regional repository networks sat down to develop a strategy to better align their activities. The meeting brought together delegates from Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Latin America and the United States.

Currently the proposals are being evaluated by the Program Committee and on April 8th the selected authors will be notify and they will receive support from RedCLARA to participate in the Conference.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 and involved the participation of 23 videoconference rooms from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, and was followed by Internet from 34 points.
Until March 22, 2014 is open the call for papers for the Fourth Conference of Information and Communication Technologies Directors from higher education institutions, TICAL2014 that will be held on May 26 to 28, 2014 in Cancun, Mexico.
