The series “HPC System & Tools”, promoted by the EU-funded project RISC2, is back for the second season. The goal is to present state-of-the-art methods and tools for installing and maintaining HPC hardware and software infrastructures. The first webinar will take place on February 22, 2023.

On December 14th, RedCLARA and the European Commission (EC) signed a contract for the execution of the second phase of the BELLA Programme (Building the Europe Link to Latin America) – called BELLA II - with the aim of expanding its benefits and contributing to closing the digital divide in Latin America and the Caribbean.

LACNIC extends an invitation to the Latin American Internet community to participate in its call for presentations to be included in the LACNIC Technical Forum agenda for its upcoming event, LACNIC 39, to be held in the city of Mérida, Mexico, on 8 to 12 May 2023. The deadline is February 16th.

The Director of International Cooperation, Academic Relations and Communications of RedCLARA, Mark Urban, and the NREN Articulation Manager of the regional network, Cecilia Ortiz, were in Havana, Cuba, between December 4th and 9th, to meet with representatives of the country's National Research and Education Network, RedUNIV, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the bases that will allow the community's participation Cuban academic-scientific association in the initiatives of the regional network.

RedCLARA announced - after its annual meeting held on December 15 - the names that will make up its Board of Directors and Fiscal Commission for the 2023-24 exercise.

The visit of RedCLARA representatives had the aim of strengthening ties with the academic community of the country and accelerating the process of creating a national research and education network (NREN) in Panamá.
