Latin America Showcases Its First Solutions Developed on the BELLA II Blockchain Testbed.
December 4 will mark a milestone for digital innovation in Latin America. Four teams from different countries will present the results of the solutions they developed during a pilot program led by RedCLARA and LNET, the Early Adopters Program, which for the first time provided regional access to the BELLA II Blockchain Testbed: an infrastructure designed to experiment, test, and validate applications based on blockchain technology.
Over six weeks, the selected projects went through an intensive process combining technical development, real-time validation, and specialized mentorship. Using the BELLA II Blockchain Testbed as a laboratory, the teams simulated and tested their proposals while receiving guidance from experts on secure practices, value strategy, use case development, communication, and go-to-market strategies. The goal was clear: to transform initial ideas into functional prototypes with the potential for technological, social, and sustainable impact in regional communities.
Launched at the end of September, the call for proposals received 13 submissions from seven Latin American countries, of which four were selected to advance to the immersion phase and build their MVPs (minimum viable products).
The Demo Day will be the platform where the teams present their results, demonstrating the applicability and reach of their developments. Projects that stand out during this event will be featured in the RedCLARA Innovation Hub Showcase and promoted through the official channels of the BELLA II project in Latin America and Europe. In addition, they may gain regional recognition, official certification, and the opportunity to scale their solutions to the LNET Mainnet.
The four selected projects Tcome from Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, covering diverse areas such as art and intellectual property, regenerative beekeeping, family farming, and digital education. From tools to protect creative works to agricultural traceability systems and educational microcredential models, these initiatives show how blockchain technology can enhance transparency, strengthen value chains, and create opportunities for rural, academic, and productive communities in the region.
"Early Adopters has demonstrated the capabilities of the BELLA II testbed. Demo Day represents a significant milestone for the region by consolidating a collaborative innovation space that advances emerging technologies in the service of social, scientific, and technological development," said Carlos González, Services Manager at RedCLARA.
Demo Day is a free and open event. To participate, register at this link.
