This is the first of a cycle of activities that are being organized by RedCLARA and RedParaCrecer and will involve the participation of experts from Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela.

The number of children diagnosed with autism is large and has grown significantly in the last decade, which has increased the interest around this condition in the scientific communities and in the society in general around the world. But what is the autism? Which are the common aspects that are present in the autistic people and the different ones that become relevant in the discussion according to the cultural issues and that make difficult to reach an agreement on how to classify autism among the developmental disorders? Why the autism has been a misunderstood condition? What is the basic information that everyone in society should know about this condition?

The event will involve presentations of three active Latin American actors in the field: Dr. Alexia Rattazzi, Psychiatrist founder of PANAACEA, Argentine Program for Children, Youth and Adults with Conditions of the Autism Spectrum, the audiologist Francisco Javier Paredes, Coordinator of the Evaluation Diagnosis Team of the Colombian League of Autism and Dr. José Gregorio Silva, Founder of RedParaCrecer.

All the institutions member of the national networks connected to RedCLARA wishing to participate must register their videoconference rooms in the Event Manager.
