Scientific Instruments: What they are and where are they?

RedCLARA invites all National Research and Education Networks in Latin America to participate in the survey on remote access to large tools and data sources. The questionnaire is available online in Spanish and English.

The objective of the survey is to identify the instruments connected to advanced and/or commercial Internet in Latin America, as well as the sources of data that can be shared. Besides, it is intended to evaluate the level of quality of the connection and the collaboration possibilities that would result of sharing these data and tools.

The questionnaire seeks to gather information about:
- Astronomical observatories
- Instruments of medium and small size that can be shared (microscopes, resonators, accelerators or any other instrument)
- Data services generated by measurement campaigns
- Computational resources in all architectures
- Sources of data generated by the fieldwork of research groups that can be shared with communities and researchers from other organizations.

If an organization has more than one instrument, it is possible to complete the survey multiple times.
