In this Virtual Day, organized by RedCLARA and the National Research and Education Network of El Salvador (RAICES), will be presented success stories and best practices of communities and Latin American research groups that have used the advanced network for the professional and scientific work they produce.

The agenda, moderated by Rafael Ibarra, RAICES Executive Director and Juan José Sánchez RAICES Academic Coordinator, will feature presentations of Florencio Utreras, Executive Director of RedCLARA and Luis Nunez, renowned Latin American researcher in the field of physics, who will present the scope and the added value of the advanced network in the development of science and academia in Latin America.

All the institutions members of the national networks connected to RedCLARA are invited to participate by videoconference. The deadline to complete the registration forms is August 12, 2014 until 16 h GMT. Besides it will be possible to be part of the event live and direct through the transmission that will be available on the Internet.

The program will be divided into two parts. In the first (from 15:00 to 16:10 GMT) will be presented the scope and the added value of the advanced network in the development of science and academia in Latin America, in the second (from 16:20 to 17:50 GMT) will be shared success stories and best practices in community and research groups in Latin America that use advanced networks for they work.
