Peru: CONCYTEC offers new virtual platform for researchers, innovators and professionals

DINA CONCYTECOn February 9, the CONCYTEC, Peruvian National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, has made available the new virtual platform of the National Researchers and Innovators Directory (DINA), a tool that records the resumes of people who carry out activities related to science, technology and innovation in Peru.

(Source: CONCYTEC) DINA helps to give visibility to the work of the Peruvian researchers and innovators, and to link them to their peers, so they can generate multiple opportunities to enhance their collaborative networks. Log into DINA is free, voluntary and of public access.

The Directory seeks to bring together professionals of different thematic fields of scientific, technological and innovative knowledge, favoring the formation of research networks. It also represents a showcase in which companies and institutions can have access to relevant information about professionals who are related to various fields of study and research in CTel.

Thus, DINA contributes managing the search for strategic partners for the development of projects at both scientific and corporate levels.

At being part of DINA, the entrants will have the opportunity to nominate to the State funds in Science and Technology activities that are granted through CienciActiva, the National Fund of Scientific and Technologic Development and Innovation (FONDECYT) and other institutions. In 2015, the CONCYTEC will convene over 30 contests, which means more than 150 million soles (national currency) awarded in the year.

Those who are registered in the Directory can also join the Virtual Library in which they are located, accessing the latest information of the most recognized journals.

To access the DINA benefits, it is necessary to the registered people to update their curriculum with the biggest possible amount of information, which will also allow the CONCYTEC to formulate the best development policies of CTel, according to the needs of researchers and innovators.

"The new features will allow a quick and easy registration of the information. In addition, the users can observe that the recorded personal data is validated by RENIEC. The scientific publications indexed in SCOPUS and MEDLINE databases can also be easily integrated into the profile of the person in the directory", said Dr. Walter Curioso, Director of Assessment and Knowledge Management.
