In order to collect information that allows to identify the state of advancement of the incorporation of identity federation services and the provision of services under a federation structure in Latin American universities, the TICAL community by means of RedCLARA will carry out an online study targeted to ICT leaders of the higher education and research institutions of Latin America.

The initiative will be developed through a survey that will be applied from October 5 and December 5, 2015. The survey was structured to identify the existing needs within the region in the higher education framework, in matters of those ICT services and applications that these institutions want to be delivered by providers in a federated scheme. In addition, the study aims to identify joint working lines between the institutions and the national academic networks in this area.

The result of this information survey will reveal the current situation of Latin American universities in relation to the Identity Federations and Federation Services, and will be directly delivered by e-mail to all those who participate in it.
