The activity is part of the actions of the community for ICT Innovation -driven by Microsoft and RedCLARA-, and it is going to be held by videoconference on the 7th of April, between 15h and 17h GMT, continues the cycle of presentations on advanced analytics in education. Initiatives and existing projects in our region will be presented in the meeting.

The business intelligence (BI) is focused on helping decision making by showing what happened in the past, setting keys that allow the responsible to monitor what happened and, based on the results, define what to do next. The Advanced Analytics allows taking this analysis to the next level through models of predictive analysis technologies. With the technology available today, it is possible to be more precise than before and analyze on more variables than people usually analyze in a BI board.

At this meeting, we will explore the concept of advanced analytics, typical application scenarios, what is machine learning, cases of advanced analytics in education, etc. Both academics and members of RedCLARA the member institutions working in the educational sphere, particularly interested in using ICT, are invited to participate in this activity.
