Colombia: RENATA will launch its new 100 Gbps network in June
“The best way to celebrate the birthday of RENATA is to provide to the academic community a better network infrastructure, with better monitoring service in the ownership of our services. In July we will finish the implementation of the new network infrastructure with which Colombia will enter the top 10 of NREN - National Research and Education Networks - around the world”, says Lucas Giraldo Rios, Executive Director of RENATA.
(Source: RENATA) RENATA is nine years in the service of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI) of the country and to celebrate, the last week of June, the research, education and innovation network in Colombia will launch its new infrastructure .
The new RENATA infrastructure model will, from July 2016, count with 100 Gbps links between the 27 nodes - were 9 – that make up the national backbone for the coordination and exchange of information between the institutions of SNCTI.
