The award honors leading scientists from institutions dedicated to teaching, research and innovation in Central America, South America, Spain and Portugal.

It is open until October 15 the call to Mexico Science and Technology Award 2016.

The award will be granted to a person of recognized professional prestige who has made a significant contribution to universal scientific knowledge, technological progress or development of social sciences, has been recognized for the international impact of their contributions, he has formed school for their contributions in training human resources, and because such work has been carried out mainly in one or more countries of the region covered by this call.

Candidates must have the nationality of any country in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Spain or Portugal and reside in any of them. No applications will be accepted Mexican nationals. Thus, participation members of the partner institutions of national networks connected to RedCLARA, namely: REUNA, RedCEDIA, RAGIE, RAAP, RAU, InnovaRed, RNP, Renata, CONARE and roots.
