Period to apply to Internet Society fund program is open

Those interested in applying for Beyond the Net, the Internet Society's large ($ 30,000) and medium-fund ($ 10,000) program can now do so.

The deadline to apply for funding applications ends at March 23, 2017. Applications fot Beyond the Net will be accepted mainly from Internet Society chapters or projects in which an Internet Society chapter actively participates. However, it will also consider case-by-case requests from Internet Society members who do not have an Internet Society chapter in their country.

The categories supported by Beyond the Net are 1) Access and development, 2) Open standards, security and resilience, 3) Political environment and 4) Internet in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Following the adoption by the United Nations of the 2030 Sustainable Development Program in 2015, ISOC will also focus on how the Internet can support progress in individual sustainable development goals (SDGs). Internet paper in support of: SDG 4 (Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)

The selection criteria are originality; The long-term impact of the project, community involvement and if other chapters can copy your project.
