LA Referencia: Bianca Amaro is re-elected as president and Lautaro Matas is the new executive and technical secretary
The Board of Directors of LA Referencia, RedCLARA's institutional ally network, has unanimously re-elected Bianca Amaro as president for two more years. Likewise, it has appointed Lautaro Matas as the new Executive and Technical Secretary of the Network.
(Source: LA Referencia) Bianca Amaro served as president of LA Referencia in the period 2018-2020. Amaro stressed that “it is an emotion to have this responsibility. My work will be focused on inclusion: let all the countries come, because together we are stronger!”
For his part, Matas has worked since the beginning of LA Referencia as the Technical Manager. His new role will add his perspectives on technological development to the executive secretariat, and will be complemented by the addition of a new member to the management team. Matas thanked the Board of Directors for this designation, emphasizing that their commitment is to a network of repositories that includes even more countries, as well as technological advancement in services based on open access to science.
Finally, the president and the new secretary highlighted and thanked the active collaboration of Andrea Mora Campos, representative of Costa Rica, in the transition process this year derived from the sad loss of Alberto Cabezas.
