The National Education and Research Network (RNP), linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), announces the 9^th edition of the RNP Forum, a meeting that discusses political and strategic subjects from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, looking at the future of the networks and technology infrastructure that compose the national CT&I system. Based on this topic, it promotes broad debate about ICT use and management with education, research, innovation, health, culture and defense purposes. 

Supported by the Digital Government Department (SGD) of the Ministry of Economy and the Higher Degree Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES) of the Ministry of Education, the topic of the event, held between October 19 and 21 100% on-line and free of charge, will be “Meeting with the Future” from the Digital Transformation point of view, but focused on the challenges we are facing in 2020. 

The Forum will be focused on Information and Communication Technology professionals with topics of interest of the area managers and emphasis on the community of institutions using RNP. Traditionally, it has called the interests of IT directors of public administration bodies, pro-deans and deans of Federal Universities and Institutes, as well as researchers and students from the area.

The program will be broken down in seven paths: innovation; cloud computing; management and soft skills; advanced networks; security and privacy; technologies in education, and technologies in health. Among the confirmed speakers, there are the Administration secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Cristiano Heckert, the scientist and professor of Innovation Silvio Meira, and the president of Instituto Laura and creator of the robot Laura, Jacson Fressato.
