With support from RedCLARA, GTI4U publishes book on strategies for IT projects
The Strategic Project Portfolio is the main instrument of government of Information Technology (IT) that a university can use to determine which projects are the most strategic for the organization and optimize its investments in IT. Aiming to help rectors and ICT managers of universities to act well in this area, GTI4U, a team of researchers and IT professionals from different universities at international level, launched the book "How to prioritize strategic IT projects for your university".
The publication, which has the support of RedCLARA, is authored by the researchers Antonio Fernández, Faraón Llorens, Carlos Juiz, Francisco Maciá and Juan M. Aparicio, of the Santander-UA Chair of Digital Transformation at the University of Alicante, Spain. Among other topics, the book addresses points such as the Government of Information Technology, Strategic Alignment and Portfolio of Projects, Strategic Portfolio Model of IT Projects for Universities and Keys for the implementation and continuity of the Strategic Portfolio of IT Projects.
In the text, the authors not only develop what are the challenges faced by universities during the phases of achieving a strategic portfolio, according to their own experience, but also share the testimony of numerous IT managers who have implemented it in their organizations.
