Join the high performance computer courses of CeNAT Costa Rica

The National Center for High Technology of Costa Rica (CeNAT) is organizing two training activities on high-performance computing during the month of January 2019.

The first course is the GPU Mini-hackathon, which will take place between days 21 and 23. The objective of the event is for GPU programmers to learn how to use these accelerators to design and optimize (potentially) scalable scientific applications. Throughout this practical 3-day hackathon, experienced mentors will help attendees come out with extensive examples of applications running on GPUs and a clear roadmap of how to start their own applications to run on GPUs.

The second one is the HPC School, which in 2019 reaches its third edition. To be held between January 28 and February 1, the School aims to prepare students and researchers to introduce HPC tools into their workflows. A selected team of experts will provide sessions on shared memory programming, distributed memory programming and performance analysis.

The two events are free of charge and will be held at the offices of CeNAT, in Pavas, San José.
