In July: Join the 12th Brazilian e-Science Workshop

Aiming to collaborate with e-Science efforts, proposing a forum for the discussion of relevant topics in this area of study, the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) will hold, on July 22 and 23, 2018*, the 12th edition of the Brazilian e-Science Workshop (XII BreSci). The event is part of the activities of the XXXVIII SBC Congress and will be based at the Natal Convention Center (CCN), in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte.

In addition to the broader and more ICT-related main track, the workshop also has a specific application trail to discuss topics related to particular areas of e-Science application, including (but not limited to) bioinformatics, astronomy, chemistry and informatics in biodiversity.

The approach to researchers in these areas of science aims to strengthen the relationship between participants in different fields of knowledge. In addition, the proximity facilitates the identification of demands related to the computational infrastructure from the point of view of each area. On the other hand, it also enables better dissemination of the solutions developed by the computer community.

The deadline for submission of works ended on April 2 and the selected will be notified on the 27th of the same month. However, registration to attend the event is still open.
