RICAP opens its second call for access to supercomputing resources

HPCmini

The Iberoamerican Network of High Performance Computing (RICAP) announced on February 27 the opening of its second call for access to HPC supercomputing resources. The call was created in order to allow research groups that can hardly use supercomputing clusters to carry out its projects to get access to this type of infrastructure.

According to Rafael Mayo, RICAP Coordinator, the requests must be sent by the principal researcher of the interested research group. Institutions or projects as such, therefore, do not apply. The calculation time assigned to each group (the CPU hours) does not have a definitive estimate, varying according to what each applicant asks for and the availability of each institution.

Applications must be sent to the email address ricap@ciemat.es indicating in the subject "Request for the second call of RICAP HPC resources", until April 30, the final deadline for submitting proposals.
