Santo Domingo will host the 6th STIC Conference and the RootedCON Congress from 27 to 29 May 2026

The 6th STIC Conference and the RootedCON Congress are Ibero-American events focused on strengthening prevention, detection and a coordinated response to cyber threats affecting governments, critical infrastructure, businesses and the public.

To be held in the capital of the Dominican Republic, the event is organised by the National Cryptology Centre (CCN-CNI), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) and RootedCON, in collaboration with the National Intelligence Directorate (DNI) of the Dominican Republic. The event continues its regional tour following editions in Bogotá (2021), Medellín (2022), Punta Cana (2023) and Panama City (2024 and 2025).

Under the slogan “A digital shield against cyber threats”, the event aims to bring together technical teams and cybersecurity leaders from the public sector, regional CSIRTs (CSIRTAmericas), representatives of international organisations (such as the OAS and IDB) and national authorities to advance cooperation, governance and shared capabilities.

Cyber defence commanders from the armed forces and police forces will also participate, as well as companies from strategic sectors and universities, with a focus on information protection, operational continuity and talent development.

The 6th STIC Conference and the RootedCON Congress aim to consolidate a stable platform for Ibero-American cooperation to improve cybersecurity and digital resilience.
