June 10, 3 PM GMT: Launch Ceremony of RUTE Colombia

The National Academic Network of Advanced Technology of Colombia, RENATA, will launch the RUTE Colombia Digital Health Community on June 10 at 10 am in Colombia (3 pm GMT).

(Source: RENATA) The RUTE Colombia Digital Community seeks to expand and strengthen scientific and educational cooperation in health in Latin America, through the implementation of collaborative activities that support the development of a regional telemedicine network. The foregoing is based on the experience of the Brazilian Telemedicine University Network (RUTE).

The launch ceremony, which will take place virtually through Facebook Live @RENATAColombia and the YouTube channel RENATA Red, is driven to health professionals and the academic and scientific community in this area of ​​knowledge.

The event will feature the participation of Diana García Quintero, medical deputy director of Hospital San José, Nandy Rodriguez, director of virtualization of the University Foundation of Health Sciences, Francesc SaigÍ Rubió, Associate professor of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Open University of Catalunya, Lilia Aparicio Pico, director of the GITEM ++ Group of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, Claudia Patricia Jaramillo Ángel, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Caldas University, Luis Miguel Acevedo, vice-dean of the Faculty of Public Health of the University of Antioquia, Jorge Iván López Jaramillo, coordinator for Colombia in the Ibero-American Network of Mobile Health Technologies RITMOS, University of Antioquia, Rafael Rodríguez Maldonado, executive director of RENATA and the moderator of Mónica López, academic manager of RENATA.

The RUTE Colombia Digital Health Community seeks regional integration of health in Latin America, from academic networks and in collaboration with various actors and professionals from health institutions. In addition, it responds to one of the strategies of the World Health Organization 2020 - 2030 for the generation of spaces as collaborative work between players with a Telehealth and Digital Health approach.

To consolidate the Community in the collaboration scenarios, during the event, it will be socialized how the interested parties can be part of the following work panels, lines of approach to which private health professionals, from universities, research centers, clinics can be linked and hospitals:
