The Chilean national research and education network, REUNA, will launch this Thursday, April 8, at 11am in Santiago (2pm GMT), a new service for its community: EduVPN.

The tool, developed by the Dutch NREN SurfNET, protects devices on insecure networks and offers secure access to protected services when accessed from outside user institution's network. EduVPN has been implemented in several countries: Albania, Australia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Malaysia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uganda and Ukraine.
