February 11, 7pm GMT: 15th edition of the International Computer Security Day (DISI)

Rio de Janeiro, January 2021 - Linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations of Brasil (MCTI), the National Teaching and Research Network (RNP) announces the 15th edition of the International Computer Security Day (DISI), which will take place on the February 11 (7pm GMT) in online format, with the theme “Digital security starts early”. This year, DISI joins Safe Internet Day (saferinternetday.org), a global movement led in Brazil by Safernet and the Ponto BR Information and Coordination Center - NIC.br, bringing greater mobilization around important issues for the safer and more conscious use of the internet.

(Source: RNP) With a focus on students, teachers, institutional collaborators, technology professionals, specialists and other disseminators of the information security culture, this edition of DISI will be two and a half hours long and will bring together active voices from around the world digital in a conversation circle, to share their knowledge and, thus, make internet users aware of information security.

On this day, the invited experts will address current issues, such as the security risks to which children and adolescents may be exposed when using the internet, what educational and protective measures can be used, parental control, understanding of privacy and exposure of data and the like; sharing on the internet, what to do in case of exposure or threats to the integrity of your family and children, among others, and will count on the presence of specialists in the sector, such as the specialist in Digital Law, Adriana Cansian (Resh Cyber ​​Defense) and the specialist in Cybersecurity, Fernando Mercês (Binary Mind).
