3 June: RUTE-ALC invites members of the academic and scientific community with an interest in or working within the health sector to discuss data governance in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Latin American and Caribbean University Telemedicine Network (RUTE-ALC), part of the RedCLARA ecosystem, will hold a remote session on Wednesday 3 June on health data governance, a key issue for the development of safer, interoperable and people-centred healthcare systems.
The event is aimed at academics, researchers, scientists and health professionals linked to the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) that make up RedCLARA, and will provide a space to share experiences and best practices regarding the quality, security, privacy and interoperability of health data.
During the session, specialists from the region will address challenges and opportunities for strengthening the ethical and secure management of health information, in a context where digital transformation demands robust governance frameworks.
The session will be moderated by Ana María Goméz, of Gamanlaw Legal Group, and will feature contributions from specialists at that firm, alongside Jacqueline Cerda Córdova, from the Chilean Ministry of Health. The agenda also includes a Q&A session and discussion with the audience.
