The University Network of Telemedicine of Chile (RUTE-Chile) will be launched next Tuesday, March 16, at 11 am in Santiago (2 pm GMT), in a virtual ceremony to be held by Zoom. The organization was created from the collaboration of four prominent Chilean universities (U. de Concepción, U. del Desarrollo, U. de Valparaíso and U. de Chile) with Chile's national research and education network (REUNA).

The call for the fifth and final BELLA’s Bidding Process for Infrastructure and Telecommunications Services is open since March 9th to reinforce the RedCLARA backbone in the stretch that joins the national research and education networks (NREN) of Ecuador, Panama and Brazil.

Work now begins to bring BELLA connectivity online, providing the high capacity and low latency necessary for data-intensive research and education use.
