On 16 June 2022, senior representatives of ASREN, GÉANT and RedCLARA convened in order to sign the Katowice Declaration during TNC22 in Trieste, Italy. The document affirms the continued collaboration between the three regional research and education networks in the thematic area of Earth Observation. This is a concluding agreement following a previous roundtable on the subject held at the Internet Governance Forum, in Katowice, Poland, in December 2021.

The European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the National University Network of Chile (REUNA) announced the signing of a new agreement, thanks to which the European organization joins the Corporation as a Collaborating Partner. The purpose of the partnership is to strengthen the relationship between both institutions and foster new opportunities for linkages between the observatory and other scientific and academic entities in Chile and Latin America

The last years have represented great challenges and the need for continuous adaptation of researchers, professors, students and everyone involved in our academic community and the use of ICT to a world that is definitively becoming an increasingly digital scenario.

On August 15, 2022, at 7:15 pm GMT RedCLARA will hold a panel during the AmeriGEO Week 2022 allowing relevant stakeholders and interested parties to share the challenges, opportunities and lessons they learned regarding the future of the potential synergies in a geospatial and digital world.

Those who wish to apply for the program must do so until Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. in Uruguay (UTC-3). The announcement of the selected candidates will take place on Monday, October 17, 2022. The mentoring period will run from October 24, 2022 to April 24, 2023.
