Are you Ready to Explore the Cybersecurity of the Future? Join the third Cyber Bridges Meeting!

On November 4, RedCLARA, Internet2, and CANARIE invite the community to participate in a session designed to explore identity management as a cornerstone of Zero Trust strategies and to discuss how collaboration in cybersecurity can help build more resilient communities.

Titled “Fireside Chat: Zero Trust and Cybersecurity Collaborations,” this third session of Cyber Bridges, led by Internet2, will feature insights from Dameion Brown, Director and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Jackson State University (Mississippi, United States).

With simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, Portuguese, and French, the session will focus on a cybersecurity approach based on the principle of “never trust, always verify,” ensuring that every access to resources is continuously authenticated, authorized, and monitored. Brown will also discuss the benefits of cybersecurity collaboration for building more resilient communities and the impact of these initiatives in the region.

Dameion Brown brings 24 years of experience across the public and private sectors, including military service in the United States, where he led teams in threat analysis, risk management, and vulnerability assessment, as well as in the development and enhancement of security systems. He has directed projects to determine the frequency and probable impact of natural and human-made disasters, and has overseen loss prevention and the continuous improvement of security systems through audits and evaluations.

In addition, he served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science in the ROTC program at Jackson State University and continues to teach as an adjunct professor at several universities, sharing practical knowledge derived from real-world experience in cybersecurity and leadership in complex environments.

Cyber Bridges is a series of cybersecurity webinars organized by RedCLARA in collaboration with Internet2, CANARIE, and LAC4, held between October and December, and bringing together professionals from across the Americas.

Participation is free of charge, and registration is now open.
RedCLARA, Internet2, and CANARIE look forward to welcoming participants to this insightful session.
