Peru advances in the creation of its National Research and Education Network
The information regarding the creation of the Peruvian academic network was released on June 27 by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru through its Facebook page. We publish the said statement below.
(Source: Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru, June 27, 2022) "Premier Torres, secretary of the Secretary of Government and Digital Transformation and representatives of UNMSM, Pronatel and Concytec Peru met to coordinate the integration of UNMSM into the National Research and Education Network (RNIE) using the State's broadband infrastructure.
"This accession constitutes an important milestone in the promotion of the National State Network REDNACE managed by PCM, to contribute to the achievement of national policies, the strengthening of a digital society and the national process of digital transformation of the country.
"During the session, it was agreed to set up a Committee of Experts to strengthen the strategy of the National Network of the Peruvian State (REDNACE) and the National Research and Education Network (RNIE).
"The session with the participation of Marushka Chocobar, secretary of the Secretary of Government and Digital Transformation; José Niño, vice-rector for research and postgraduate studies at UNMSM; Claudia Córdova, expert in knowledge management from Concytec and the executive director of Pronatel, among other experts."
