August 27: RUTE-ALC discusses the health of Indigenous Peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The health of Indigenous Peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean faces urgent challenges that require a comprehensive response. To address this, SIG Salud Digital is organizing the panel “Health for Indigenous Peoples in LAC,” a space where experts will discuss the current situation, structural barriers, and opportunities to improve access to equitable healthcare.

The panel will explore strategies to overcome these obstacles, including promoting intercultural health, strengthening community services, and integrating traditional knowledge into medical care. The discussion aims to foster dialogue that advances more accessible, inclusive, and culturally respectful health systems across the region.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 27, at the following times: 9:00 a.m. Mexico/Costa Rica, 11:00 a.m. Colombia/Ecuador, and 12:00 p.m. Brazil/Chile. It will be streamed via the Redes de Colaboração de Comunidades (RCC) platform: https://rcc.rnp.br/RUTE-ALC/aovivo.

Participation requires prior registration. For additional information, an explanatory video in Portuguese is available at https://ajuda.rnp.br/rcc/login
