June 18: RUTE-ALC Examines AI in Regional Healthcare

In a second session on this topic, RUTE-ALC will address the Technological Foresight for the Digital Transformation of the Health Sector in Latin America and the Caribbean on June 18 at 15:00 GMT. The event aims to promote initiatives in healthcare, education, and research systems, with the goal of advancing effective digitalization of the sector.

Analyzing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the public sector is essential, given the transformative potential of this technology in regional healthcare systems. The first session focused on the professional skills needed for AI adoption, with special emphasis on ethical and regulatory frameworks to ensure its responsible use.

This new edition will center on the data science environment required for the development and technical-scientific evaluation of AI, ensuring its accuracy, practicality, and relevance within the healthcare sector.

Panelists will include Ivan Pisa, professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil, and Jesús Martín Castagnetto Mizuaray, researcher at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) / INSIGHT Project. The session will be moderated by Dr. Paulo Lopes, Digital Health Specialist at RNP, Brazil.

The session will be held virtually via the platform: https://rcc.rnp.br/RUTE-ALC/aovivo. Prior registration is recommended for participation.
